Pre Roman Celt

So I pulled together a rough idea that may be fleshed out a bit more depending on the responses that I get. I loved history and have been obsessed with the all things Celtic since I was a kid. This is my attempt to get some of it out of my system. Let me know what you think.

Prior to the Roman invasion of Celt Britain, the Celt tribes lived and thrived with each other under the ?barbaric? ways of society and civilization. However even the most backward society has its rules and ways of life that keep the civilization turning.
The Celt tribe of Cantae located not far from what would one day be Hadrian?s Wall lived a peaceful life for the most part. They followed the way of their gods and listened without fault to their Druid priests. All of this changed when a messenger returning from the coast spoke of another tribe coming from the shore across the channel was planning on invading the other territories. It would not take long if the other tribes couldn?t hold the invaders off.
The chief of Cantae decided that the gods must be appeased. They decide that if peaceful matters cannot save their tribe than they will fight, but only once they have appealed to the gods. The lead Druid priest proclaimed that sacrifice of their most treasured must occur. Human sacrifices were common in the area, but it was deciding who was the most treasured that could save their tribe was what had the chief and his priests stumped.
Everyone lived in fear of the outside invaders and being killed off in the name of the gods. A young woman raised unlike most of her time knew something had to be done to stop the madness. So she set off on a quest to meet the invaders before they reached her lands. She knew she probably wouldn?t able to save them, but it beat waiting in the village on the inevitable. She had heard the gods? calls and answered them by leaving her village and heading towards the coast.
